This program was created to enhance rather than replace a quality arts education. The PTA® Reflections ProgramSM provides opportunities for students to express themselves and to receive positive recognition for their artistic efforts. When children express themselves through words, pictures, music, dance, and other art forms, they grow intellectually and socially. They learn to analyze their thoughts, feelings, and ideas; learn to look at things, people, and experiences in a fresh and exciting way; and become more interested in the ideas and works of others.

Our Reflections Program encourages children to explore their artistic talents for fun and recognition. Students in preschool through grade 12 are able to submit works of art in six categories:

  • Visual Arts
  • Photography
  • Musical Composition
  • Dance Choreography
  • Film Production
  • Literature

reflectionsWinners are recognized in each category on a local level with an opportunity to continue and compete nationally.

Please read the rules thoroughly before submitting your entry. It is important that your child’s entry be submitted timely and correctly. Pay close attention to packaging guidelines. All entries submitted should include a Student Entry Form and Consent Forms, if applicable.

We look forward to recognizing your achievements and celebrating our participating artists and your families at a special Reflections Breakfast to be held on Wednesday, October 5th at 7:45am in the Creekland Media Center.
